SAR-MAR s.r.o. supplies factory-new replacement engines.

Because engines are technical components that must be matched precisely to the vehicle, the customer is responsible for verifying compatibility before ordering, including the engine code, specifications, and fitment shown in the quotation, product photographs, and related documentation.

Submitting a request for pricing on our website does not place an order and does not create a binding purchase contract. Orders are concluded only when confirmed by SAR-MAR s.r.o. in writing by email.

By placing an order, the customer confirms that they have reviewed the engine code and all available compatibility information and that the ordered engine is suitable for their intended vehicle and application.

1. General Rule on Returns

Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, we do not accept returns of engines that have been:

  • installed or fitted to a vehicle,
  • used or operated in any way,
  • started, test-run, or connected,
  • filled with oil, coolant, fuel, or any other fluids,
  • disassembled, opened, modified, or altered,
  • damaged during handling, installation, or attempted installation,
  • returned without original packaging, labels, seals, accessories, or supplied documentation,
  • returned in a condition that prevents resale as a new engine.

An engine that has been installed, used, run, filled with fluids, altered, or otherwise handled beyond what is necessary to inspect it is considered materially diminished in value and may not be eligible for any refund.

2. Compatibility and Incorrect Orders

The customer must ensure before ordering that the engine code and technical specification match the relevant vehicle.

We strongly recommend that compatibility is verified by a qualified mechanic before purchase and before installation.

No return, exchange, or refund will be accepted merely because the customer, workshop, or installer later determines that the engine ordered is not suitable, where the engine supplied matches the engine code and specification confirmed in the order or quotation.

This rule applies equally to private customers and professional customers.

3. Consumers in the European Union

If you are a consumer purchasing at a distance within the European Union, you may have mandatory statutory rights, including a legal right of withdrawal, that cannot be excluded by this policy.

Where the right of withdrawal applies, it applies only in accordance with mandatory law. To preserve the condition and value of the goods, the engine must not be installed, used, started, filled with fluids, modified, or handled beyond what is necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics, and compatibility.

If a returned engine shows signs of installation, use, operation, fluid contamination, modification, damage, missing parts, or any handling beyond what is necessary for inspection, SAR-MAR s.r.o. reserves the right to reduce the refund to reflect the diminished value of the goods, including up to the full value of the goods where the engine can no longer be resold as new.

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, the customer bears the direct cost of returning goods when exercising any applicable right of withdrawal.

4. Business Customers

Where the buyer is acting in the course of business, trade, or profession, returns are not accepted unless expressly agreed by SAR-MAR s.r.o. in writing in advance.

No return from a business customer will be accepted after installation, attempted installation, use, testing, modification, or contamination of the engine.

5. Defective, Damaged, or Non-Conforming Goods

This Return Policy does not limit any mandatory statutory rights relating to goods that are defective, damaged on delivery, or not in conformity with the contract.

If you believe the engine delivered is incorrect, defective, or damaged, you must notify SAR-MAR s.r.o. without undue delay and before installation, providing:

  • your order number,
  • the engine code,
  • a description of the issue,
  • clear photographs of the engine,
  • photographs of the packaging, labels, and any visible defect or transport damage,
  • and any other information reasonably requested by SAR-MAR s.r.o.

SAR-MAR s.r.o. may require inspection, additional photographs, serial numbers, workshop documentation, or return of the goods for assessment before approving any remedy.

6. Return Procedure

No goods may be returned without prior written approval from SAR-MAR s.r.o.

If a return is authorised, SAR-MAR s.r.o. will provide return instructions. The customer must ensure that the goods are securely packaged to prevent transport damage. SAR-MAR s.r.o. may refuse delivery of unauthorised returns.

7. Refunds

Any approved refund will be processed only after the returned goods have been received and inspected.

Refunds may be refused or reduced where the returned goods are incomplete, damaged, contaminated, modified, installed, used, or otherwise diminished in value.

Delivery charges, return costs, handling charges, and any other non-refundable amounts may be deducted where permitted by law.

8. Inspection Before Installation

All engines must be inspected before installation and installed only by a qualified professional.

Installation of the engine constitutes acceptance of the engine’s visible condition and supplied type, except for defects that could not reasonably have been discovered before installation.
